Fabiola UWERA is the Program Officer at CERTA Foundation. She is a Rwandan Lawyer with more than five years of experience in investigative research. She is trained in lay counseling and passionate about social justice, policy and advocacy work for women’s rights, particularly through community-based approaches. Fabiola has volunteered for several grassroots collectives and human rights organizations in the region including Sistah Circle Collective, Rwanda National Commission for Human Rights, and Asylum Access Tanzania. Mrs. UWERA holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), from the University of Dar es salaam and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Institute of Legal Practice and Development and she is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association (RBA), and the East African Law society (EALS). Mrs. UWERA has diverse experience in research, translation, communications, curatorial practice, event management, creative writing, content creation, art, and film criticism. She speaks Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, English and French.
