Immediate action is needed to address Africa's climate vulnerabilities. Building a fair and environmentally responsible society is essential to prevent African populations from bearing a heavier burden resulting from the climate crisis. This becomes significant in the aftermath of severe weather events, hindering authorities from implementing necessary adaptation and mitigation strategies. Despite Africa's contribution to worldwide emissions being insignificant, the continent faces a disproportionate impact from climate change. Fortunately, technology(AI)

provides approaches to improve climate resilience, and adaptation, and aid sustainable development on the continent. This article investigates how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can assist in advancing environmental justice and combating climate change in Africa. The study examines

the current utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in climate initiatives such as climate modeling, agricultural optimization, ecosystem monitoring, disaster response, early warning systems, biodiversity conservation, resource management, and efficiency in multiple African

countries and beyond. It acknowledges challenges including but not limited to the lack of technology, the digital divide, and ethical concerns, proposing methods to integrate AI into environmental policies. It highlights the importance of utilizing AI technology to advance equal

climate initiatives, lower climate vulnerabilities, and build a just African society.
