ALT Network Ghana Meetup
On 8th September, CLI, home of African Law and Tech Network, had the pleasure of hosting a dynamic meet-up in Accra, Ghana, bringing together over 40 lawyers from across the continent. The event provided an excellent platform for legal professionals to connect, share insights, and discuss how the legal field can adapt to the rapid advancements in emerging technologies.
The discussions were led by prominent legal experts, including Catherine Kariuki, Emmanuel Saah, Desmond Israel, and Deji Sarumi. They emphasized the growing need for lawyers to embrace innovative tools that enhance efficiency. Deji Sarumi, co-founder of Tech Hive Advisory, captured the sentiment perfectly: “To thrive in this evolving landscape, lawyers must continuously push themselves to be curious and adaptable.”
We were also privileged to hear from Nankunda Katangaza, founder of the African Law & Tech Network, who shared the inspiring story of the network’s inception and the impressive milestones we have achieved so far.
This meetup is a build-up to ALT Summit 2025, which will be held from May 13th to 15th in Kigali, Rwanda. The event was supported by EightGeeks@Law, Certa Foundation, and Tech Hive Advisory Africa.
