On November 26, 2024, in partnership with Kvinna till Kvinna and in collaboration with the Executive of Nyabihanga Sector, Rwamagana District, Center for Justice and Advocacy, on behalf of Certa Foundation, represented by its pro bono lawyer, Me. Harerimana Euphrasieh, visited 67 teen and single mothers in the sector. The discussions focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SHR), their legal rights, and strategies for preventing Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

During the visit, 15 of these women received legal aid to initiate their pursuit of justice for the GBV they had experienced. Certa Foundation committed to representing them in civil cases, including claims for alimony, paternity determination, child support, and compensation for damages in related criminal cases.

This initiative aims to empower the women and ensure they have access to justice and the support they need to rebuild their lives.
