On April 22nd, the Center for Law and Innovation hosted an engaging internal training session on Data Protection led by Ridwan Oloyede, the Associate Director of Professional Development. Ridwan shared invaluable insights on maintaining a secure environment with well-protected data.

During the session, Ridwan highlighted a significant finding: "The most impacted data hacks are in the mid and small businesses." This underscores the importance of prioritizing data protection measures, for any organization irrespective of size. The training shed light on the importance of privacy, the team understood that" Privacy is not about hiding something, it's about protecting what you have." This perspective highlights the fundamental principles of data protection that we must uphold.

One key takeaway from the session was the quote: "Privacy is not about hiding something, but about protecting what we have”.  It prompted us to look again into our progress in integrating data protection practices into our roles.
