DPOS Hangout - Kigali

After a successful event in Lagos and Abuja, the DPO Hangout magic was brought to Kigali. Hosted at the Digital Transformation Center Rwanda, the event was organized in partnership with the African Law & Tech Network, Tech Hive Advisory, and GIZ Rwanda. This gathering convened over 20 Data Protection Officers (DPOs) from diverse sectors, including banking, hospitality, and other key industries, for an evening of meaningful dialogue, learning, and connection.

The Hangout offered a blend of engaging discussions on data privacy, interactive games, and ample networking opportunities. Participants explored pressing topics in data protection, pain points, and concerns, exchanged insights, and shared strategies for tackling the challenges they face in safeguarding data in their daily roles.

By creating a space for DPOs to connect, learn, and inspire one another, the Hangout not only strengthened professional networks but also contributed to advancing the conversation around data protection practices in the country.
