On May 22nd, 2024, Certa Foundation’s pro bono lawyer in Musanze District, Ms. Geraldine Ntihanabayo, conducted a crucial outreach visit to single mothers with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities in Muko Sector, Mburabuturo Village. The visit was part of Certa Foundation's ongoing efforts to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV), educate individuals on existing laws and policies, and inform them about their general rights.

The primary goal of this visit was to empower these women by providing them with vital information and resources available to advocate for their rights and protect themselves from violence. By addressing critical issues such as domestic violence and sexual abuse, the Certa Foundation aims to create a safer and more inclusive environment for women with disabilities and their families.

Ms. Geraldine Ntihanabayo used this opportunity to encourage the women to unite and support each other in their personal and familial development efforts. She emphasized the importance of unity and collective action in overcoming the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and single mothers.

This initiative highlights Certa Foundation’s Center forJustice and advocacy commitment to supporting vulnerable groups within society. Through legal assistance and the promotion of self-empowerment, the organization is dedicated to fostering a more equitable and just society for all.
