National International Women’s Day Celebration
On the 8th of March 2024, the Center for Justice and advocacy team represented by three of its team members joined the nation in celebrating the achievements of the government for the women of Rwanda. An event attended by both women in the public and private sector and most importantly attended by H.E Paul Kagame and the First Lady, Madame Jeanette Kagame.
Women from various sectors displayed their achievements in entrepreneurship, military and many other sectors, expressing gratitude for the steps the government has taken to ensure that women are given a platform to showcase their skills, intellect and talent in all fields.
In the President’s speech he remarked that violence against women on any level should be condemned and women’s rights should be upheld at all costs emphasizing that, “A woman is a pillar of a family and holds great responsibility at the household level and external matters. Therefore, it is comprehensible to give women their rights, with no barriers to her well being and development.”
