Nyagatare District: Certa Foundation Champions Awareness on Gender-Based Violence and Child Protection
On May 23rd, Certa Foundation’s pro bono lawyer in Nyagatare District, Ms. Mukamasabo Gloriose, organized an important outreach activity at the Nyagatare Transit Center. During this event, she raised awareness about critical societal issues concerning gender-based violence (GBV). Addressing a gathering of approximately 412 individuals, Gloriose highlighted pressing concerns related to GBV and child protection.
Gloriose's discourse delved into the legal intricacies surrounding child protection laws, GBV Laws and policies and emphasized the critical importance of understanding and combating gender-based violence, particularly sexual gender-based violence against children. By engaging the audience in a thoughtful discussion, Gloriose highlighted the detrimental effects of GBV and underscored the urgent need to safeguard children from harm.
