Partnerships
The Center for Law and Innovation is delighted to confirm our appointment as a center within the Network of Centers, a collaborative initiative of academic institutions with a focus on interdisciplinary research concerning the Internet. The Network of Centers is coordinated by the Berkman Klein Center, a key center at Harvard University and a global voice in research and thought-leadership on Internet Law, Artificial Intelligence and corresponding fields of study.
The relationship was cultivated over a number of months, commencing from an introductory meeting held at Harvard University in September 2023, initiated by Michael Butera, Associate Director for Research at the Center for Law and Innovation.
CLI is the first center in East Africa and one of only 4 African centers within the Network of Centers. The other African centers are located in Egypt, Ghana and Nigeria. We are excited engaging the global initiatives, as set out in the recently published NoC Roadmap and leveraging this relationship to successfully implement the AI Stakeholder Meeting scheduled for September 2024.
