Representing CLI at the AI Action Summit in Paris

Our Director, Ridwan Oloyede, recently attended side events at the AI Action Summit in Paris, engaging with global leaders, policymakers, and experts on the future of AI governance. These discussions highlighted the urgent need for balanced policies that foster innovation while ensuring AI safety and accountability.
The AI Action Summit in France brought together key stakeholders from governments, industry, and academia to discuss AI’s rapidly evolving landscape, with a focus on governance, safety, and international cooperation. The summit served as a platform to align global efforts in developing ethical AI frameworks and ensuring technological advancements benefit societies worldwide.
As part of our commitment to responsible AI development, the Center for Law and Innovation also contributed to the first-ever International AI Safety Report, a collaborative effort backed by 30 countries, the OECD, the UN, and the EU. This report serves as a critical resource for policymakers, offering an evidence-based assessment of AI capabilities, risks, and mitigation strategies. Read the full report here.
