On June 14th, 2024, Certa Foundation's pro bono lawyer for Rwamagana district, Ms. Nyirahabimana Martine, conducted a crucial outreach visit in Musha sector in Rwamagana District. During the visit, she engaged with 24 teenage mothers, providing them with crucial information and support on issues related to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), as well as the rights of children.
The session aimed to empower these young women, who have faced significant challenges, by equipping them with knowledge and resources to navigate the complex legal system. Ms. Nyirahabimana Martine addressed topics such as the legal framework surrounding SGBV, the available support services, and the importance of advocating for their own rights and the rights of their children.
